DVD-RAM: Compatible with DVD recorders which use DVD-RAM for recording, such as the Panasonic DMR-E10/E20/E30, Panasonic DMR-HS1, Panasonic LF-D201U/LF-D311, Hitachi RX2000/RX3000, Toshiba RD-2000/RD-X1, Samsung DVD-R2000, QPS Que DVD-RAM, Vivastar DVD-RAM RS-111, and many others.

Rewritable! Data stored on a DVD-RAM disc can be accessed in the same manner as a hard drive, with drag and drop capabilities. Data can be rewritten 100,000 times. Each DVD-RAM comes with its own removable cartridge, if noted in description. Each disc that comes with a cartridge can easily be removed - here's how. DVD-RAM discs include CPRM (Content Protection for Recordable Media) that can protect a copyright and uses a special over-coating technology that protects the recording layer.

Important Compatibility Note: Currently, there are several different DVD recording formats. Please be sure of the format that your recorder requires before purchasing.
DVD-RAM Camcorders: Note that the mini DVD-RAM with CARTRIDGE will not fit in the newer Hitachi and Panasonic camcorders (which requires a cartridge with rounded edges). The discs will work with these recorders, however you'll need to remove the disc from a cartridge that you already own (or that came with the camcorder), and replace it with one of these discs. Or, order the mini DVD-RAM without CARTRIDGE.
