In a collaborative effort between Vinpower Digital and Lightscribe, the new Vinpower Digital SATA SharkCopier Lightscribe CD/DVD Tower Duplicators are the industry's first complete Lightscribe standalone DVD and CD publishing system.  Lightscribe was invented by Hewlett Packard as a laser labeling technology to burn images onto compatible optical discs through licensed drives.  The new SharkCopier LS models offer an array of improved features, most notably the ability to inscribe text or full graphic labels directly onto Lightscribe CD, DVD and Blu-ray discs, without being connected to a computer.  The SharkCopier LS is the most productive, reliable, and cost effective Lightscribe publishing system on the market.

The SharkCopier LS offers the largest memory buffer of any unit available today with 128MB on 11-target and below models, and 256MB on 12-target and above models.  Beyond the attractive look of this powerful duplicator, the aluminum casing provides the highest protection against heat and dust, two of the most dangerous elements for a duplicator.  This allows the unit to provide optimal performance for an extended period of time.

The SharkCopier LS's user friendly interface with LCD display, combined with easy button operation, allows any novice user to easily duplicate multiple general purpose and non secured video DVD's and CD's.  Multiple cooling fans and industrial style power supplies insure the longevity of the systems and provide 100% duty cycle performance.

Included 250GB hard drive (optional on 1-Target) features “DHP Technology”, which creates a hard drive partition to the size of each master disc image, so no hard drive space is wasted.  Save multiple disks to retrieve and burn at a later time without the original disk.  Ensures stable, error-free operation with HDD-to-DVD duplication.  Direct DVD-to-DVD duplication is also supported.   Hard drive upgrades are available:  320GB, 500GB and 1TB.

  • Complete Standalone Operation:
    No PC required to operate the duplicator.
  • Embedded Copy Protection (optional)
    The unique Copy Protection Software (CPS) can embed a proprietary copy protection encryption into any DVD video master through a PC, which can then be transferred onto the Xerox duplicator to produce as many copy protected reproductions as the user needs.
  • New USB Copy Connect (optional):
    Able to transfer image files directly from a PC to the duplicator's internal HDD.  No longer need to burn a master disc to initiate the duplication process.

    Improved "Load and Copy" transfers the data from the master disc to the internal HDD, while simultaneously coping that data disc to disc on the first run.  All subsequent runs are copied through the HDD.
  • New Continuous Hard Drive Partitioning*:
    The HDD partitions are created without limitations using the same amount of space as the actual content size on the disc.   No longer do you have to worry about losing valuable HDD capacity because your duplicator allocates the exact space required without wasting space like standard partitions on other controllers.
  • Industry leading up to 256MB buffer memory**:
    Keeps all drives burning without pausing (known as buffer underrun) for the most stable and reliable high speed duplication - the higher the memory buffer the less likely to encounter buffer underrun errors.
  • Supports all common CD Formats including CD-TEXT, ISRC, Over-Burned CD (90 min/99 min).
  • Drive firmware upgradeability:
    Capable of up    grading the drives for selected brands through the duplicator.

What is Lightscribe?
Lightscribe is an innovative technology that uses a special disc drive, special media, and label-making software to burn labels directly onto CDs and DVDs.  Because the labels are laser-etched, not printed, there's no ink, no smudging, and no peeling.

Your labels can be whatever you want them to be.  Create one-of-a-kind designs with your own photos, text, and artwork, or choose from the many free backgrounds provided using the special edition Template Labeler software included with every Lightscribe capable duplicator.  You may also visit Lightscribe's Template Label Gallery, or the Label Gallery for free downloadable designs.
 
How Lightscribe Works:

1.  Burn the image label you created from the saved file on your computer onto a CD.  (Please note that the Lightscribe software is only
     compatible with a PC and not recognized on a MAC computer).
2.  Place that CD into the reader drive of the SharkCopier LS duplicator.
3.  Load Lightscribe capable discs with the label side down in all of the writer drives.
4.  Using the menu on the duplicator's LCD, choose and execute the "Print" function.
5.  Burn your Lightscribe label directly onto the discs in all the writer drives at the same time.
6.  Remember, the same drive that burns your label, burns your data, too.

Benefits Of Lightscribe Duplicator:
The SharkCopier LS allows the user to both copy data, audio or video files onto the data side of recordable CD's or DVD's, but also can print directly onto the label side of Lightscribe capable CD's and DVD's.  This is all done in a single standalone manual tower duplicator, where all the drives will print or duplicate simultaneously for a faster superior end product.  All of this is done without the need to connect to a PC, refill ink cartridges/thermal ribbon, or a masters degree in mechanical engineering.  The SharkCopier LS is so easy to use and offers such exceptional print and duplication quality, that anyone can use one!
